The Simi Settlers Amateur Radio Club provides a trained group of licensed ham radio amateurs who are prepared to assist the community with public/charitable events and emergency communications during emergencies.
Today's amateur radio activities are extremely diverse, including local and long-distance communication, amateur television, digital communications and experiments in new technologies.
The Simi Settlers are active in supporting local radio-related Boy Scout activities, including Jamboree On The Air and radio/communications related Merit Badges.
The Simi Settlers Amateur Radio Club meets every month except December (holiday party) on the second Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 1636 Sinaloa Road in Simi Valley (near Harley's Simi Bowl.)
