     ­  Become a Hospice Volunteer

Hospice Volunteers are ordinary people who have extraordinary love and concern for others. Volunteers can help in these ways:

• Keep patients company
• Share stories
• Run errands
• Read or do art projects with patients
• Support family members
• Work in Hospice office
• Provide bereavement support
•  “Vigil Volunteer” trained volunteers who are at the bedside companioning patients and their families in the final hours or day of life.
• Pet therapy
• “Petals For Patients” – delivery of fresh flower arrangements
• Emotional Support
• Feeding means/snacks
• Memory Pillow
• “I want you to know” loving memory book – life review and reminiscence
• Art therapy
• Music therapy
• Bereavement support
